I stumbled upon this video and really enjoyed how enthusiastic you were about these books. I had books 1-8 and read them over and over again during my childhood and proudly still have them all. They are awesome! My favorites were Plantation Treasure and Secret City. I remember I added books 9-10 a couple years later when I found them in a bookstore, having not even known that they had continued the series. I remember not liking book 9 much because it put Indy on the Titanic and I thought that was a bit far-fetched. I do remember the Titanic book had Miss Seymour as a character, so they were making an attempt to have this book series and the TV series coexist.

Does it support BDXL discs such as 100GB and 128GB ? And how plays custom BD-R ?

Was the film re-rated? I noticed the laserdisc had "PG" and the 2 disc DVD had a "PG-13"?

Still keeping my individual Batman DVD sets to keep the original intended feel of the show. The Blu Rays have a terrible DNR pass and is especially noticable on 4K, and the film grain is pretty much nonexistent at this point. A real shame because this could've been a knockout transfer.

I'm getting this book next week and I'm looking forward to reading it.

My friend, what are your thoughts on The Nun Story? I have not gotten it yet but I've heard WAC has begun to drop the ball on their live action films (as well as their animation for a while now). Is this true?

Makes you realise how spoiled we are to have pristine 35mm scans of stuff like Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Fritz Lang's silent movies.

The worst Indy story. Total garbage book. This is exactly what Trey Parker and Matt Stone describe as bad writing. "This happens, then this happens, then this happens."

Is this worse than Universal's American Graffiti 4k uhd?

Wolfgang Hohlbien wrote a way better book about a lost city in das Schwert des Dschingis Khan.

This one is terrible. The whole seven veils plot device is nonsensical. Only Interior World was worse. Rob McGregor was hands down the worst Indy writer.

Really authoritative review. Makes you wonder if we'll ever see the proper version.

I personally have a 1E/2E Pressing sounds fantastic as my collection gets bigger I will get more quality and better condition copies of my favourite albums but this 2nd pressing sounds fantastic

It's sad that we still won't get the right printer of film I'm sad that one of are great film director like Scorsese can't get this movie right printer I think there's someone or other people won't give us the movie we been asking for. What happened to once upon time in America other great film of all time. 😢😢

Just recently starting following the channel, and as luck would have it, just found Batman & Robin on LD (I’m not a fan, but my wife likes it, so happy spouse). I did spin it up in my Pioneer player (non-optical or AC-3) and I do have to say, that sound mix was pretty sweet. Played over my LG 5.1.2 soundbar set at just digital stereo, and holy crap! I was surprised I didn’t get complaints from neighbors in my apartment. I’m on the hunt for the others in LD. I’m a completist so will eventually get the UHDs, but that stinks that the sound mixes were changed on those. This video was very informative and I know what to expect sonically. It’s a pain that the smaller boutique labels can get original audio (looking at you, Arrow and Synapse Films!) but larger studios simply don’t care.

Paramount is perhaps the most awful physical media provider ever. Unfathomable

I have not gone through all the 4K discs yet but I did check out Superman II first as it is my favorite and noticed that on the 4K at the beginning when Clark as he ditches Perry White and runs along the back alley to change to Superman the frame oddly shifts to the left side of the screen, now I've seen this movie countless times and I then checked my old DVD and the scene plays out just fine.

A real shame, I guess I’ll just wait until something possibly better comes along, if that ever happens

I'll admit, I bought the bad War of the Worlds 4K with World's Collide movie because I never had the film before. After I watch, I'm thinking about getting rid of this and getting the Criterion release in 2025.

Why are proper restorations so expensive, so hard to obtain and why do they not do physical photochemical restorations anymore? is film really that hard to work with and unstable?

I have two UB9000 and one UB820. All are about 3+ years old. They got used a lot and zero problems so far.

How do you know that it’s a manufacturing flaw? Because the only way you can know if you have the original CAD drawing of the laser assembly.

I’m glad I purchased my Panasonic 4k player when they were fairly new to the market. I’ve had no issue with mine..but over the last 2 or so years, I’m hearing a ton of people having issues. I’m assuming it has everything to do with the assembly line. Panasonic needs to do a refresh. They need a new model

This is really worrying me! I bought “Mr. Woodcock” (New Line Cinema) on DVD used a month ago and I watched it 3 times and it seemed to play just fine all 3 times. Then this month, I bought “Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show”(New Line Cinema) on DVD brand new and sealed but haven’t opened it yet. It appears that “Mr. Woodcock” was also released on Blu-Ray but I couldn’t find any Blu-Ray releases for “Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show.” I’m hoping the next time I watch “Mr. Woodcock,” nothing bad will happen. The same goes for “Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show,” hopefully when I get around to watching it, it’ll still play fine. This really sucks to hear but thank you for the information.
